How it works
One brain. Every AI you use.
HeyBrainey is a place for your memories that any connected AI can read and write, with your permission. Here is exactly what happens, and what does not.
-
Connect once
Paste https://heybrainey.com/mcp into your AI as a connector, sign in to HeyBrainey and approve. Each AI gets its own connection, and you can limit or remove any of them.
-
Say what to keep
In a chat, say "save this to my brain". Your AI sends HeyBrainey a title, the text and tags. It lands in your brain, marked with which AI saved it.
-
Ask from anywhere
In any connected AI, say "check my brain". It searches by words and by meaning, reads the best matches and answers. The read shows up in your access log.
The honest part
What it does not do
- No auto-capture
- MCP only acts when you ask. Your AI won't save anything by itself, so you need to say "save this". Some AIs can be told to do it as a habit, but that is up to them.
- No AI of our own
- HeyBrainey runs no chatbot and writes no text for you. Your assistant is the AI. We hold the memories and the rules.
- No replaying chats
- It stores what you chose to keep, not your whole conversation history.
Staying in control
You set the rules for each AI
- Read-only
- Let an AI search your brain without being able to change it.
- One project
- Limit a connection to a single brain or project. The rest does not exist for it.
- Private
- Mark a memory Private and it is hidden from every AI. No AI can turn that off.
- Notes
- Write in HeyBrainey yourself, with checklists, tables and images. Your AIs can read a note unless you lock it.
- Apple Notes
- Bring all your Apple Notes in from your Mac: every folder, with images, and new notes follow by themselves. Your AIs can then find them like anything else in your brain.
- Access log
- See which AI read or wrote which memory, and when.
- Saved text is data
- Your AI is told that memories are saved notes, not instructions to follow. Clones from public brains are labelled with who published them.
Connect your first AI
It takes about two minutes, and the first 10,000 memories are free.
